ADMISSION TO MD/MS AND MDS 2019 – 20

Outline of Counselling

The major components of counselling process are as under:
1. Registration (Candidate to pay registration fees as notified)

2. Choice Filling.

3. Allocation of seat and college/institute to eligible candidates.

4. Reporting to respective allotted college/institute within stipulated time mentioned in allotment letter.

The counselling and admission procedure will commence once DGHS –  MCC notifies. The details for the same is as follows:

1. As soon as PG NEET results are declared candidate must visit www.mcc.nic.in.

2. Select “PG Counselling” on home page.

3. Read “Counselling Scheme” for Deemed University and understand.

4. Read “Counselling Schedule” on daily basis.

5. Keep reading all the notices that are uploaded and scrolled on home page of PG admissions.

6. Go to “New Registration” and filled up the requisite details and pay registration fees as applicable. Select “Deemed University” Category while registration for admission in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.

7. As per the schedule for Choice Filling of MCC, the registered candidate will log in at “Candidate Login”

8. Candidate will get all the choices and seats available for choice filling.

9. Fill up the choice and lock it.

 

For example, to chose PG courses at SBKS Medical Institute and Research Center and K M Shah Dental College and Hospital”, candidate can chose;

1. <<Code>>- SBKS Medical Institute & Research Center (During 2018-19, college code was 330)

2. <<Code>>- K M Shah Dental College (During 2018-19, college code was 329)

3. Based on choices made by candidates and merit of PG NEET, candidate will be allotted college.

4. Candidate must visit allotted college with all original document, prescribed fees etc.

5. The process of Reporting, Verification of documents, legal formalities, payment of fees and printing online admission letter (MCC) from allotted the college/institute is carried out.

6. In case, if Candidate is allotted seat in particular college/institution but not interested in joining (if allowed) must report to the allotted institute and surrender seat to be eligible for the subsequent round.

7. Once the admission formalities are completed, the candidate will report to respective dean of the college/institute and complete institutional formalities.

8. Report to hostel section for allotment of room in hostel. It should be noted that Hostel is mandatory for the all the candidates admitted into clinical subjects.

9. Commencement of Academic Year as per statutory norms.

10. Participation in subsequent rounds of MCC-DGHS counselling as may be eligible.

11. Re-allotment/Retention of seat and college/institute. In case of Re-allotment, candidate has to report, cancel the admission & take cancellation letter and report to the fresh allotted college/institute.

12. Keep visiting http://mcc.nic.in and www.sumandeepvidyapeethdu.edu.in on daily basis for updates.

Important Instructions

  • The admission for MD / MS in SBKS Medical Institute & Research Center and for MDS in K.M.Shah Dental College & Hospital at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth an Institution Deemed to be University under Management / General, Jain Minority & NRI Categories will be done through Medical Counselling Committee(MCC), Directorate General of Health Services(DGHS), Govt. of India
  • Only NEET PG 2019 Qualified Candidates are Eligible for admissions in PG MD / MS & MDS
  • The aspirants need to Register themselves on official website of Medical Counselling Committee http://www.mcc.nic.in/ under “DEEMED UNIVERSITY” window.
  • Please Note that Registration with MCC is mandatory for admissions in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University.
  • Candidates who will be allotted Sumandeep Vidyapeeth through MCC Counselling will have to strictly report to the institute within stipulated time as prescribed by MCC. Candidate who fails to report at the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth within the stipulated time shall not be considered for further counseling procedure.
  • At the time of reporting to the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth the candidate must produce Allotment letter issued by MCC along with the required documents (As mentioned in Table A, B & C here under) as applicable to his/her category in original and two sets of photocopies for the process of verification and ascertainment of the eligibility. If the candidate fails to produce any of the following document his/her admission shall stand cancelled and the candidate shall not be considered for further rounds of counseling.

Of the seats available in MD/MS and MDS course, 15% shall be filled from the candidates belonging to NRI Category and of the remaining seats 50% shall be filled from the Management Category and 50% from the Jain Minority Category.

OTHER FEES:

  1. Over and above tuition fees, Students enrolled in MDS course has to pay Rs. 56,900/- and in MD / MS has to pay Rs. 39,900/- for examination fees and fees for Enrollment, Library, Internet, Course compilation Certificate, Attempt Certificate, Migration Certificate and Convocation.

Note:

  1. The candidate has to pay the entire annual fees at the time of admission.
  2. The candidate has to pay the entire annual fee irrespective of deposits made by candidate to MCC at the time of registration
  3. The annual course fee can be paid to the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth through Cheques/DD/Net Banking. The candidate should bring account payee cheque/s or DD for fees in the name of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University.
  4. Student also must bring cheque/s for securing future fee. It is advisable to contact admission helpdesk of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth before preparing cheque/DD.
  5. The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth accepts payment only towards admission fee, tuition fee and other fees as notified.
  6. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth does not charge capitation fee or donation in whatever nomenclature or form.
  7. College Deposit will be refunded without interest after completion of course and on clearing all dues of the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.
  8. The candidate shall pay tuition fee and other fee, as prescribed by the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth within the due date notified. If the fees paid after due date, the student will have to pay late fees payment charges as per the policy of the University.
  9. The annual fee prescribed will be the same for entire duration of the course.

Information for NRI Candidate

All the candidates participating in online counselling for MD / MS /PG Diploma / MDS Seats of Deemed Universities for the current Academic Year 2019 – 20 are requested to go through the following directions / orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 22/08/2017

(W.P. (C) No.689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka(CODEUNIK) & ANr. Vs.UOI & Ors.)

Based upon the decision of Hon’ble Supreme Court referred herein above dated 13th November, 2006 has laid down a criteria for admission in NRI quota, the Samiti decides and resolves the criteria for granting the admissions in NRI quota, as under :

1) If the mother or father of student is NRI and residing abroad ordinarily, then, either of the situations so held will be WP(C) 689/2017 considered to be proper.

2) If the first degree relation of the student is NRI and residing abroad ordinarily, then in such circumstances also, qua this year, should be considered eligible. It is natural that such definition would include the real brother and sister over and above the mother-father of the first degree relation.

3) As per the definition revised by the Hon’ble Apex Court, interpretation of clause 3 thereof as not made limited but if made in a broad perspective, then, it is clear that the person who wanted to consider such student as ward (Palya), then, he be considered to be proper subject to compliance of the following conditions :

a) He should be the nearest relation.

b) In the definition of the nearest relation, committee has considered following relative having blood relations.

i) Real brother and sister of father i.e. real uncle and real aunt.

ii) Real brother and sister of mother i.e. real maternal uncle and maternal aunt.

iii) Father and mother of father i.e. grand father and grand mother.

iv) Father and mother of mother i.e. maternal grand father and maternal grand mother.

v) First degree-paternal and maternal cousins.

vi) Such person should be NRI.

c) Such persons should ordinarily be residing abroad.

d) Such person should have looked after such student as the guardian of the student and evidence to that effectWP(C) 689/2017must have been produced before the committee by such person.

e) There should be affidavit with aforesaid fact.
