Important Instructions

  • The admission for MD / MS in Smt. B. K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre and for MDS in K.M. Shah Dental College & Hospital at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth an Institution Deemed to be University under Management / General, Jain Minority & NRI Categories will be done through Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Govt. of India
  • Only NEET PG 2020 Qualified Candidates are Eligible for admissions in PG MD / MS & NEET MDS 2020 Qualified Candidates are Eligible for admissions in MDS
  • The aspirants need to Register themselves on official website of Medical Counselling Committee http://www.mcc.nic.in/ under “DEEMED UNIVERSITY” window.
  • Please Note that Registration with MCC is mandatory for admissions in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University.
  • Candidates who will be allotted Sumandeep Vidyapeeth through MCC Counselling will have to strictly report to the institute within stipulated time as prescribed by MCC. Candidate who fails to report at the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth within the stipulated time shall not be considered for further counselling procedure.
  • At the time of reporting to the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth the candidate must produce Allotment letter issued by MCC along with the required documents as applicable to his/her category in original and two sets of photocopies for the process of verification and ascertainment of the eligibility. If the candidate fails to produce any of the required document his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
  • During reporting the candidates are also required to deposit the entire annual fee irrespective of Payments made by candidate to MCC at the time of registration.

OTHER FEES:

  1. All the students admitted in MD/MS or MDS shall be required to pay Rs. 25,000/- as College Deposit at the time of Admission
  2. Over and above tuition fees, Students enrolled in MDS course has to pay Rs. 56,900/- and in MD / MS has to pay Rs. 39,900/- for examination fees and fees for Enrolment, Library, Internet, Course completionCertificate, Attempt Certificate, Migration Certificate and Convocation.
  3. For all other optional fees, refer sumandeepvidyapeethdu.edu.in.

Note:

  1. The candidate has to pay the entire annual fees at the time of admission.
  2. The candidate has to pay the entire annual fee irrespective of deposits made by candidate to MCC at the time of registration
  3. The annual course fee can be paid to the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth through Cheques/DD/Net Banking. The candidate should bring account payee cheque/s or DD for fees in the name of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University.
  4. Student also must bring cheque/s for securing future fee. It is advisable to contact admission helpdesk of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth before preparing cheque/DD.
  5. The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth accepts payment only towards admission fee, tuition fee and other fees as notified.
  6. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth does not charge capitation fee or donation in whatever nomenclature or form.
  7. College Deposit will be refunded without interest after completion of course and on clearing all dues of the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.
  8. The candidate shall pay tuition fee and other fee, as prescribed by the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth within the due date notified. If the fees paid after due date, the student will have to pay late fees payment charges as per the policy of the University.
  9. The annual fee prescribed will be the same for entire duration of the course.
Scenario Refund Rule
Scenario A:

If a candidate is admitted in MD/MS/MDS at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth during Round 1 conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) resigns from the admitted seat within time as stipulated by Medical Counseling Committee:

  • Rs 25000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousands) will be deducted from the Tuition Fees paid by the candidate at the time of admission.
  • Remaining amount will be refunded within 7 working days
Scenario B:

If a candidate is admitted in MD/MS/MDS at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth during Round 1 participates in Round 2 and is not upgraded during Round 2, resigns from Round 1 admitted seat: within 2 Days of Round-2 Result Announcement

  • Rs 25000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousands)will be deducted from the Tuition fees paid by the candidate at the time of admission.
  • Remaining amount will be refunded within 7 working days.
Scenario C:

If a candidate is admitted in MD/MS/MDS at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth during Round 1 participates in Round 2 and is not upgraded during Round 2, resigns from Round 1 admitted seat: after 2 Days of Round-2 Result Announcement

 

  • Please note that as per regulations of Medical Counseling Committee, cancellation of admission is not permissible beyond the time limits prescribed by MCC after declaration of round 2 result. However, in such situations, if the candidate resigns/ leaves the course, she/he is liable for penalty (a+b+c/a+b+d as applicable) as below:

a)  Forfeiture of entire fees paid at the time of admission

b)  The unconditional bank guarantee or undatedsecurity cheque/s deposited by the candidate at the time of admission in favor of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for the payable amount will be encashed by the University. The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth will have authority to recover the entire penalty amount by appropriate legal procedures.

c)  For Jain Minority Category candidates he/she is also liable for terms and conditions mentioned for breach of service Bond. Hence the additional penalty will be as below:

i.      Rs.15,00,000/-  (Rupees Fifteen Lakh)as penalty for breach of Service Bond and,

ii.      Candidate will have to pay to the University the difference of fees between the fees prescribed for the Management category seats and the Jain Minority Category seats along with interest of 12% per year from the date of admission till the date of payment.

d)  For Management/NRI Category candidates he/she, is also liable for terms and conditions mentioned for breach of service Bond. Hence the additional penalty will Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh).

Scenario D:

If a candidate is allotted seat at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth during Round 2 or during Mop Up Rounds conducted by MCC or any rounds thereafter, joins the Institute & then resigns from seat

  • Once the candidate joins the allotted seat of Round 2 or Mop Up Rounds conducted by MCC or any rounds thereafter, he/she is not allowed to resign from the admitted seat any time thereafter.
  • However in such situations, if the candidate resigns/ leaves the course, he/she is liable for penalty as below:

a)    Forfeiture of entire fees paid at the time of admission

b)    The unconditional bank guarantee or undated security cheque/s deposited by the candidate at the time of admission in favor of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for the payable amount will be encashed by the University. The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth will have authority to recover the entire penalty amount by appropriate legal procedures.

c)    For Jain Minority Category candidates he/she is also liable for terms and conditions mentioned for breach of service Bond. Hence the additional penalty will be as below:

HOSTEL FEES REFUND POLICY

  • Students who withdraw from the hostel without occupying the room even for a single day will be refunded the full amount of hostel fee and security after deduction of administration charges of Rs. 1000 /- only.
  • Students, who have stayed in the hostel and withdraw from the hostel, will be refunded the balance amount on pro-rata basis. For example, if the student stays for a fraction of a month will be charged full fees for that particular month and the refund will be calculated accordingly.

AC/FRIDGE REFUND POLICY

The charges collected on account of providing amenities like AC/Fridge will be refunded proportionately provided the following criteria’s are met.

  • The AC/Fridge has not been functional continuously for two months despite of repeated complaints lodged in the complaint register by the student.
  • The application for such refund must be processed by the student within 15 days succeeding the period of two months. No applications for refund will be entertained there-after.
  • Penalty for ANM / GNM student will be charged @ Rs. 50/- per day instead of present charges of Rs. 150/- per day.

MD/MS AND MDS ADMISSION 2020-21

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  • Candidates who have been allotted seat for admission to MD/MS/MDS course in Smt. B.K. Shah Medical Institute and Research Center or K.M. Shah Dental College & Hospital through the online counseling conducted by MCC shall report to the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth within the stipulated time as mentioned on the allotment letter generated on MCC website. Candidate who fails to report at the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth within the stipulated time shall not be considered for further counseling procedure.
  • At the time of reporting to the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth the candidate must produce Allotment letter issued by MCC along with the following documents (mentioned in Table A, B & C here under) as applicable to his/her category in original and Three sets of photocopies for the process of verification and ascertainment of the eligibility. If the candidate fails to produce any of the following document his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
  • Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute / College / University and come for admission with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are deposited with the Institute /College / University” shall not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/Dental College.
  • If there is any discrepancy in spelling in documents candidate must carry proof that the documents belong to same person in form of an affidavit/undertaking.
  • All original documents of the candidate will be retained by the university till the counseling process is over (i.e. 31stMay 2020). These may be released before the completion of counseling process only if the candidate is upgraded during further rounds of counseling or the candidate resigns from the admitted seat.

17 The Candidate should also bring the following certificates, if applicable:

a)    SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (in the format as specified by Medical Counseling committee) and should be in English or Hindi language. Sub-caste should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.

b)    OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally
with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer. The OBC certificate must be in the format as specified by Medical Counseling committee.

c)    Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board for 21 Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016. No other PwD certificate, issued by any other authorities/ Hospital will be entertained. The format of Certificate of Disability shall be as specified by Medical Counseling committee

a.) Affidavit of the person who is NRI and is the sponsorer of the Candidate claiming that he / she is financial capable and will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate. ( See Annexure 3 )
b.) Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer)
c.) Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer certifying NRI status of the Sponsorer.
d.) Copy of latest Income tax Return filed by the sponosorer.
e.) All the essential documents (e.g. birth certificate, passport etc) of the family
members to establish relationship between Candidate & Sponsorer.
3 PIO candidate
a.) Valid Foreign Passport
b.) Valid VISA requirements
c.) Valid Residential permit in India
d.) Degrees/Certificates of candidate must have been recognized and approved by Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/ Commonwealth Universities / International Association Universities (IAU) as equivalent to corresponding Indian Degrees/ Certificates.

Students granted admission will have to secure the payment of the fees for balance years by providing an undertaking and unconditional bank guarantee in favour of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for the payable amount which can be enchased by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University in the event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves the course mid-stream.

To facilitate, at the option of the students, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University will accept un-dated account payee cheque towards the payable fee/s amount to be drawn in the name of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University along with an affidavit and covering letter asserting that the cheque is in lieu of security for payment of fees and can be encashed in the event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves the course mid-stream.

If on verification, the information and/or documents furnished by the candidate at the time of admission is found to be fraudulent / forged and the admission is cancelled by virtue of this, in such cases too, the cheque/s submitted by the candi- date in lieu of security for payment of fees for balance years, shall be encashed.

Students of Jain Minority Category taking admission in PG-Medical- MD/MS will have 10% concession in the form of scholarship in their fees if they are ready to execute the service bond and their admission  will be subject to the following terms :

a.) Jain Minority students admitted to PG Medical-MD/MS will execute a bond for serving the University in the area of need for a period of one year after comple- tion of course on subsistence allowance that may be decided by the University at that time.

b.) In the event of breach of (a) the student shall:

  1.  Pay to the University a Sum of Rs.15,00,000/- as penalty and,
  2. Pay to the University the difference of fees between the fees prescribed for the Management category seats and the Minority Category seats along with interest of 12% per year from the date of admission till the date of payment.

 

Students of Management/NRI Category have to execute the service bond & their admission will be subject to the following terms:

a.) Management/NRI Category students admitted to PG Medical-MD/MS will execute a bond for serving the University in the area of need for a period of one year after completion of course on subsistence allowance that may be decided by the University at that time.

b.) In the event of breach of (a) the student shall:

  1. Pay to the University a Sum of Rs.5,00,000/- as penalty and.

Students granted admission will have to secure the payment of the fees for balance years by providing an undertaking and unconditional bank guarantee in favour of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for the payable amount which can be enchased by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University in the event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves the course mid-stream.

To facilitate, at the option of the students, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University will accept un-dated account payee cheque towards the payable fee/s amount to be drawn in the name of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University along with an affidavit and covering letter asserting that the cheque is in lieu of security for payment of fees and can be encashed in the event the fees are not paid and /or the student leaves the course mid-stream.

Students of Jain Minority Category taking admission in PG-DENTAL – MDS will have 10% concession in the form of scholarship in their fees.

In the event of the student admitted under the Jain Minority category leaves the course midstream, the following terms & conditions will be applicable:

  1. Pay to the University a Sum of Rs. 2,00,000/- as penalty and,
  2. Pay to the University the difference of fees between the fees prescribed for the Management category seats and the Minority Category seats along with interest of 12% per year from the date of admission till the date of payment.

1.)           All the students admitted shall execute the undertaking/ Bond to the effect of the clauses above as applicable.
