Student Research and Community Health Committee

 

 

Sumandeep Vidyapeeth is a pioneer in promoting Evidence Based Health Care, taking this forward the SBKS MI&RC has taken initiative of cultivation research culture among undergraduate students, the SRCH Committee has been formed.

Aims and Objectives:

To provide platform for the medical students of S.B.K.S. Medical Institute & Research Center to discuss topics related to health, education, medicine and Research.

To create awareness amongst them about the medical student research related work

To conduct Conferences and workshops related to Research and Community Health

Framework:

The administrative team is currently represented at various levels to ensure efficiency and quality of the organization.

The first level is representedby a team of Advisors (Advisory Board) –

The name suggested for the Advisory Board are the Dean, MEU – Coordinator, Dr. Manoj, Dr. Kothari, Dr. Smith.

The second level would be the Executive Board.

The EB is regarded as the decision making body and represents the committee as a whole. The EB comprises:

                        -  The President: To be appointed

                        -  Vice President – External Affairs: To be appointed

                        -  Vice President – Internal Affairs: To be appointed

                        -  Student Director Of Public Health: To be appointed

                        -  Student Director of Finance : To be appointed

                        -  Student Director of Memberships : To be appointed

                        -  Student Director of Communications: To be appointed

                       

Third level is  the Batch Directors/ Representative for First, Second, Third &Fourth year, .

ADVISORY BOARD:

 

Role: Their role is to advice the executive board in their working and constant monitoring of their work.

 

Appointments: Dean and MEU Co-coordinator will be selecting authority for the other Advisory Board, on contractual basis of 2 years. There will be total five members.

EXECUTIVE BOARD:

 

1. President:

 

Role:

Overall monitoring and supervision of activities of executive board

Conduct Meeting minimum two times in a year.

Keeping records of all the activities

Communication with the advisory board time to time.

Appointments: President is appointed by the Advisory Board, for the tenure of 2 years.

2. Vice President – External Affairs:

Role:

Collect information from outside student academics / research activity and pass on the Executive Board.

Recent updates of Student Research Projects in other colleges.

Collecting information on student exchange programs.

Communication with the national, international student association.

 

Appointments: Advisory Board will appoint him on the basis of his curriculum vitae and letter of intent and would be for the tenure of 2 years.

3. Vice President – Internal Affairs

Role:

To communicate between college authority and executive board.

Record Keeping academics, research and community health.

Organizing conference and workshops for students.

 

Appointments: Advisory Board will appoint him on the basis of his curriculum vitae and letter of intent and it would be for the tenure of 2 years.

4. Student Director of Public Health:

Role:

Conducting camps that are beneficial to the community, where students can volunteer, Need to work with director of finance that would be assisting in fund raise for the event.

Advisory Board will appoint him on the basis of his curriculum vitae and letter of intent and it would be for the tenure of 2 years.

5. Student Director of Finance:

Role:

To associate with the Director Of public health and to help him with the fund raising for the event.

Appointments:

Advisory Board will appoint him on the basis of his curriculum vitae and letter   of intent and it would be for the tenure of 2 years.

6. Student Director of Memberships

Role:

To enroll members for the organization

To pass on their contact details to the Director of Communication

To be in touch with the Batch Directors and Director Of Communication to enroll as many member as possible

Appointments: Advisory Board will appoint him on the basis of his curriculum vitae and letter of intent and it would be for the tenure of 2 years.

7. Student Director of Communications

Role:

To forward the message of the organization to the Batch Directors and to monitor their functioning.

To appoint the batch directors.

Publication of student Newsletter.

Appointments: Advisory Board will appoint him on the basis of his curriculum vitae and letter of intent and it would be for the tenure of 2 years.

STDENT BATCH DIRECTORS:

 

Role: They need to be in touch with the Director Of Communication and the Director Of membership and help them in passing the message to the members and get in as many members as possible from their respective batch.

 

Appointments: Advisory Board will appoint the batch director for the tenure of 2 years
